Bad Moon Rising by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Bad Moon Rising Lyrics;
I see a bad moon a-rising
I see trouble on the way
yeah, I see earth quakes and lightnin’
I see bad times today
Don’t go ’round tonight
But it’s bound to take your life
There’s a bad moon on the rise
I hear hurricanes a-blowing
I know the end is coming soon
Oh yeah, I fear the river’s over flowing
I hear the voice of rage and ruin
And don’t go ’round tonight
But it’s bound to take your life
There’s a bad moon on the rise
Yeah
Hope you got your things together
I hope you are quite prepared to die
Look’s like we’re in for nasty weather
One eye is taken for an eye
Don’t go ’round tonight
But it’s bound to take your life
There’s a bad moon on the rise
Yeah, don’t go ’round tonight
But it’s bound to take your life
There’s a bad moon on the rise
Creedence Clearwater Revival
Creedence Clearwater Revival were a Swamp-Rock group from El Cerrito, California. They were originally formed in 1959 by brothers John and Tom Fogerty who were both Guitarists. Stu Cook played Bass and Doug Clifford played the drums. They first played as The Blue Velvets. But that only lasted up til 1964 when they changed their name.
They later played as ‘Vision’ but soon changed their name again to ‘The Golliwogs’. But eventually they settled on Creedence Clearwater Revival in 1968 and released 5 Studio albums between then up until 1972/ This is when the band broke up due to personality clashes. There have been rumours of a reunion tour. However, most group members seem uninterested in this. John Fogerty says that ‘Its certainly Possible’. But Clifford and Cook say they have no inclination to have a reunion. So, its unlikely we will see that. But you never know.
However, John Fogerty still plays his own solo material.
